This indoor swimming pool at a school in Ipswich was in desperate need of refurbishment and a new swimming pool coating.
A specialist masonry blasting company carried out the blasting of the rubberised coating prior to us arriving on-site, removing all the existing coating leaving a clean substrate for us to work with.
The entire swimming pool was primed with one coat of thinned Bradite CC24 chlorinated rubber eggshell, to penetrate the substrate and create a well adhered first coat.
Two additional undiluted coats of the Chlorinated Rubber paint were then applied in the customers desired colour scheme.
Bradite CC24 chlorinated rubber eggshell was chosen for this project as it’s a quick drying paint with excellent water and good chemical resistance – perfect for use as a swimming pool coating.
