New machinery was being installed, and they wanted the bay completely redecorated prior to the machine arriving. This included spray painting all the walls and ceiling, along with carrying out warehouse floor painting.
The walls and ceiling were pressure washed and degreased to remove years of dirt and grime. Once dry, all areas were spray painted with Zanders PF59 Stain Block Primer Finish. This product was selected specifically because of its excellent adhesion to all surfaces, stain blocking properties, and fantastic coverage over poor surfaces. The product was spray applied to ensure the best finish possible over a total area of around 3000sq meters.
Once the interior spray painting of the warehouse was complete, we moved onto the epoxy resin floor coating. The floor at ATB was in poor condition and heavily contaminated with oil and grease.
The entire floor area of approx. 850sq meters was mechanically prepared using diamond grinding to create a fresh, open profile to the concrete. The many pitted and damaged areas were repaired using an epoxy repair mortar. Any additional contamination left in the pitted areas, was treated with a degreasing solution and thoroughly cleaned.
After the floor preparation was complete, we applied 2 coats of Flowcrete Flowcoat SF41 epoxy resin floor coating in Goosewing Grey. This was applied using squeegee and back roll methods and in accordance with the bespoke specification supplied by Flowcrete, to ensure even coverage and a uniform finish. ATB Laurence Scott are extremely happy with the final product which has given their engineering bay a fantastic new look.
