The roofs were in desperate need of industrial roofing remedial works owing to extensive leaks and corrosion, which is a common occurrence for industrial buildings of this age.
In order to ensure the best finish, we prepared the surface by jet washing all areas using a degreaser solution. This removes any excess paint, dirt and debris, giving a smooth surface for coating. To prevent degradation of the roof material, we also carried out extensive cut-edge corrosion treatment to the exposed edges, prior to spray applying 2 coats of Rustoleum Noxyde.
As well as the roof repair, we also replaced the rooflights and installed HD Sharman gutter linings, bespoke mansafe system and snow-melting heat trace system.
Our client required a fast turnaround to ensure minimal disruption; we were able to complete works in 3 months, in line with the original schedule.
Working closely with Rustoleum using their Noxyde paint system, we were able to offer a 20-year warranty on the roof coating system.
