For our client, Lotus, their new robotised paint mixing room required the anti-static installation as any electrical charge could affect their industrial process and cause harm to personnel or product.
Anti-static epoxy floor coatings are designed to safely ground or dissipate the build-up of electro-static charge in sensitive environments. ESD (electrostatic discharge) is a natural hazard of a working environment, but if it’s not neutralised, it can cause damage or safety risk.
Our coating partner (Flowcrete UK) offered a bespoke specification for the anti-static flooring system.

It’s suitable for use in areas such as electrical manufacturing and distribution warehouses. This system meets EN IEC 61340 anti-static requirements and is able to protect against a range of acids, alkalis, solvents, alcohol and fuel.
