New Apprenticeship Scheme Launched
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve taken on a new apprentice at Cladspray Solutions.
In partnership with Skills Training UK, we’ll provide our new trainee with on-the-job experience, training and mentoring in the industrial coating’s application trade.
An Industrial Coatings Applicator, plays a key role in protecting the nation’s infrastructure from deterioration. The role involves preparing surfaces of new or existing steel structures to remove any contamination, mill scale, rust, or unsound existing coatings, and apply the appropriate corrosion coatings to a specific standard.
Level 2 Industrial Coatings Applicator
Launched in 2019, the Industrial Coatings Application apprenticeship is based on the ICATS modules and was created by CORREX and managed and approved by ICorr.
The modules covered during this 18-month apprenticeship, will ensure our trainee is a competent industrial coatings applicator and will be able to undertake the role safely and without supervision.
For our trainee, this offers the fantastic opportunity to learn on the job and receive a recognised qualification.
With under 25’s being the hardest hit in terms of unemployment due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s great to be able to support a young worker and give them the opportunity to create a successful career in their chosen trade.
