If you’ve been keeping an eye on our activity recently, you’ll have seen that our work has been getting some attention with industry awards filling up our trophy cabinet nicely! However, this time, we’re delighted to say that it’s one of our team members that has been singled out for praise.
Kim Carter, Director and co-owner of Cladspray Solutions, has been chosen as a winner of the prestigious Global 100 Women in Leadership Award for 2024.
Kim’s achievements have earned her a place in the category of Visionary Trailblazer, for her transformative impact on Cladspray Solutions, marked by exponential growth and industry recognition.
Kim joined the business in 2016, bringing her extensive experience in marketing and project management to a business that was flourishing, but needed operational guidance. Much of her work focuses on optimising operational efficiency and implementing strategic processes that facilitate our ongoing success, often operating behind the scenes, away from the spotlight.
Kim’s leadership in the male-dominated construction industry is remarkable, given that only 14% of the UK’s construction workforce were women as of Q4 2023 (ref: Statistica). Her ability to balance these responsibilities with motherhood, often working beyond traditional hours, is particularly noteworthy.
Of course, a Women in Leadership award is apt for someone who gives guidance to the growing team, and Kim has overseen the employment of several key new hires in the business.
